Shared kitchens and quality meals

Shared kitchens are available for preparing your own meals. If you prefer, breakfast, lunch and dinner are also available for an additional charge. Fresh, hot meals are prepared daily in our kitchen using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients.

Safe accommodation

At the Residence Hall, additional security is provided by a receptionist during the morning and a security guard at night, creating a safe and peaceful living environment.

Studying and living in Vipava

Vipava is a welcoming place to study, where universities, everyday essentials and leisure activities are all close by. Its compact size makes everyday life easy, without long commutes or the hustle and bustle of a large city, while still providing everything you need during your studies.

Everything within easy reach

Our student accommodation is located in the centre of Vipava, close to the universities. The health centre, post office, bank, shops, cafés, bus station and other everyday services are all within walking distance.

Ajdovščina is only 7 kilometres away and is connected to Vipava by regular bus services.

Nature on your doorstep

The Vipava Valley is an ideal place for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. From Vipava, you can easily access hiking and cycling routes, go running or head up to nearby Mount Nanos. Sports facilities, football pitches and numerous recreational trails are available in and around the town.

The Vipava River runs through the town, while the green surroundings and distinctive landscape of the Vipava Valley offer plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Sports and leisure

Vipava and nearby Ajdovščina offer gyms, organised fitness classes, sports facilities and many other opportunities for recreation. Ajdovščina also has an indoor swimming pool that is open throughout the year.

Sports, cultural and social activities in both towns give you plenty of options for spending your free time actively and enjoying life outside your studies.

A great base for exploring Slovenia and beyond

Vipava is ideally located between Ljubljana, Nova Gorica, the Slovenian coast and Italy. Ljubljana is approximately 75 km away, Trieste around 50 km away, and the Slovenian coast can be reached in less than an hour by car.

Several international airports are also within easy reach:

Treviso Airport: approximately 150 km
Venice Marco Polo Airport: approximately 150 km

Vipava is therefore an excellent base for exploring Slovenia, Italy’s Friuli and Veneto regions and the wider area.

Student rooms are available at two locations in the centre of Vipava. All rooms are well maintained and air-conditioned and include a private bathroom and Wi-Fi access.

Each resident has their own bed, bedside table, desk, chair and wardrobe, providing personal space for sleeping, studying and storing belongings even in shared rooms.

Škofijska gimnazija Vipava Residence Hall

The Residence Hall offers 11 triple rooms for students. The rooms are spacious and functionally furnished for comfortable living and studying.

A shared kitchen is available for preparing your own meals, along with communal areas where you can relax and socialise.

The Residence Hall provides a peaceful and well-organised living environment. A receptionist is present during the morning, and a security guard is on duty at night.

Grabrijanova Street

The Grabrijanova Street location offers 7 student rooms of different sizes, including double, triple and four-person rooms.

Residents have access to a shared kitchen and dining area where they can prepare meals and spend time with other residents.

Accommodation at Grabrijanova Street offers a more independent style of student living, with everything you need for a comfortable stay in the centre of Vipava.

Cook for yourself or choose prepared meals

Shared kitchens are available at both locations, allowing you to prepare your own meals.

If you prefer not to cook, breakfast, lunch and dinner are available for an additional charge at the Škofijska gimnazija Vipava Residence Hall. Fresh, hot meals are prepared daily in our kitchen using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients.

You can choose all meals or only specific meals, such as lunch or dinner. Meal plans must be arranged in advance, and your selected meals are billed monthly.

Prices for individual meals are available in the price list.

Accommodation fees

Prices are valid from 1 September 2026.

All utilities are included in the accommodation fee, including electricity, water, heating, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.

The prices above apply to accommodation for the full academic year.

Shorter stays

Accommodation is also available for shorter periods. In this case, the monthly rate is adjusted according to the length of your stay.
